HODOFF Studios is a creative production studio based in Muscat, Oman. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. Questions or requests: hoda.bahmanoff@hodoffstudios.com.
The short version. We do not sell personal data. We run no advertising trackers on this site. There are no accounts, logins or forms on hodoffstudios.com. The only personal data we hold is what you send us yourself, plus aggregate statistics of our own published videos and of visits to this site.
1. This website
- We set no cookies. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and gives us only totals — such as pages viewed, country, browser, operating system and device type, where the visit came from, and how fast the page loaded — never who you are.
- Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request metadata in order to deliver and protect the page and to produce the visit totals below, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Our films. The films on the page are served from this site itself, through Cloudflare, with our own copy of the open-source player. No third-party video service is involved. Of the films, only each film’s cover image and our player script load with the page; the film itself does not start downloading until you press play.
- Fonts. The typeface is served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to deliver the font file.
- Outbound links. Services we link to, such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Upwork, are other companies' services. Once you follow a link, that company's policy applies, not ours.
2. If you contact us
If you write to us by WhatsApp, email or telephone, we keep your message and contact details for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep ordinary business records. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.
3. HODOFF Analyzer — our Google API client
HODOFF Studios operates a private, internal tool called HODOFF Analyzer. It reads how HODOFF Studios' own published videos performed. It is used by HODOFF Studios staff only, on HODOFF Studios' own account.
- Whose account. Today the only account connected is HODOFF Studios' own, and we do not ask members of the public to sign in to anything. If a client ever asks us to report on their own channel, that client authorises access themselves, under a separate written agreement, and this policy is updated first.
- What it reads. Authorised access is a single read-only scope, yt-analytics.readonly — aggregate audience statistics for channels HODOFF Studios owns: views, watch time, audience retention and country-level breakdowns. Separately, we read publicly available YouTube information using an ordinary API key; that involves no sign-in, no account access and no personal data.
- What it does not read. It does not access Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Photos or Calendar. It does not receive the identity of any individual viewer: YouTube reports aggregate figures only, and we make no attempt to identify viewers.
- Where the data is kept. Results and credentials are held on HODOFF Studios' own computer in Muscat, with credentials restricted to the account owner and excluded from all code repositories. As on any ordinary business machine, that computer's files are covered by the operating system's own encrypted cloud backup, so copies exist with our device and backup providers. We do not send this data anywhere else, and no third party is given access to it.
- Sharing. None. The data is not sold, not shared, not used for advertising, and not used to train any machine-learning model.
- Withdrawing access. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have stored results deleted, email us and we will delete them.
- YouTube API Services. HODOFF Analyzer uses YouTube API Services. Your use of it is therefore also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google handles the data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can review and revoke HODOFF Analyzer access at the Google security settings page: Google security settings.
Limited Use. HODOFF Studios' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Research on public channels
We also analyse publicly available information about businesses' own published channels — what they post and how it performs — in order to advise clients and to prepare proposals. This uses public data only. We do not sign in to anyone's account to do it, and we do not attempt to identify individual viewers.
5. Client material
When we produce work for a client we may receive footage, documents and contact details belonging to that client. We treat that material as confidential, use it only for the engagement it was given for, and do not publish it without the client's written agreement.
6. Children
This site and our services are directed at businesses, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
7. Your rights
You may ask us what personal data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hoda.bahmanoff@hodoffstudios.com and we will answer.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new date at the top. The date above is the date of the current version.
